Mohammadreza Bahirai, the head of the Importers of Hygienic and Cosmetic Products Association, in response to the question why the smuggling of health and cosmetic products has not ended? said:
The Food and Drug Organization has done a lot of work in the field of managing health and cosmetic products in the last two decades, and if you review the smuggling diagram, you will clearly understand the valuable role of the Food and Drug Organization’s policies in controlling smuggling.
Due to the facilitating of production and import, before the sanction’s intensification, the concept of smuggling these products was really being eliminated.
Expediting affairs and handing over responsibilities to associations has helped a lot and we hope that this path will continue.
The organization’s controls and supervisions have also helped to win people’s trust and achieve people’s satisfaction.
We must admit that smuggling is mostly because of import restrictions and bans, which are caused by decisions outside the Food and Drug Organization.
The Food and Drug Organization and the anti-trafficking headquarters have been able to provide conditions for the voice of industry activists to be better heard in the decision-making centers and create greater convergence among economic activists.
